What to actually DO to start making money from your online business…

Everyone does in the beginning.What will really help you start seeing these awesome payment notifications instead of another pile of bills to pay?…A PLAN.You need a simple plan that shows you what to do and leads you down the path to selling other peoples products so well……In a matter of months, you’ll start seeing progress….it starts off with having somewhere to send your traffic. Where are you going to send them?Many people fail at affiliate marketing because selling other peoples products is different than selling your own stuff.Especially today, people are 100% skeptical online. There are so many scams it frightens people to death.They don’t know what to believe in. Who can they trust?With your own products, they only have to trust you and your company. It’s your reputation online that matters. It’s what other people say about you that matters.That can be built over years as they watch and read more of your content, they’ll relate to you and what you say or they will leave.When they get to your sales page…If you’ve built the trust high enough and created an offer that’s great, people start buying it. They give you the benefit of doubt. Because you’ve built a reputation in their eyes over time.When you do affiliate marketing and sell other peoples products it’s very different.Think about it from the consumers perspective.They land on your page and you are telling them about a problem and offering a solution.If they are interested and have that problem, they’ll read what you wrote.They start getting into it.It makes a lot of sense.There’s a bit of a story.There’s a lot of hope.But when you get to telling them about the solution and what it can do and why they need it…The anti-sales radar comes up.And when you drop that affiliate link on them…WHOA! This guys just pushing this for a commission.I can’t believe anything I just read.See, that is what can kill your results. Stop dead your potential commissions.In the past, affiliate marketing was easier. You were not required by the FTC to announce that you are an affiliate and will make commissions if they do buy it.Today the regulations in the US require an affiliate disclosure. Depending on how you read the regs, what they want you to do is announce this is an affiliate offer at the top of the page.  Every link needs to be labeled “sponsored” or “Affiliate Link”And you need an affiliate disclosure on the page and it has to be noticeable. Obvious.So there is no legal way to avoid that in the US.The regulations are a little vague though, nobody knows what is good enough to keep you out of hot water if they catch you. (or someone turns you in)As soon as you announce it’s an affiliate offer, people have their scam/sales radar start blaring in their head.Some people don’t care.Some people get angry.But most turn up their skepticism level to high.Because now they know, if they buy you’ll get a commission. If they buy, they won’t be buying from you. They’ll be buying from a stranger with an entirely different business.How do they know they can trust that guy?A certain percentage will click and go look at the offer page just out of curiosity.A certain percentage will buy based on what they read on your page or if you offer a cool bonus. (Big secret: Have a cool bonus if they buy the offer)A majority will say F that and close your page when they realize it’s an affiliate offer.Some will go look at that offer. Say that’s pretty cool BUT I aint’ gonna give that other guy a commission. They switch devices and go direct to the offer without your affiliate link and buy from the vendor. ( I don’t know why, maybe it’s just human nature)So that is what you are looking at when you try to make money on the internet with affiliate marketing.There are a lot of hurdles, roadblocks preventing you getting commissions.

• Skepticism
• Fear
• A little greed
• Don’t believe you

That is why if you do what most new affiliates do ie. drop your link into FB groups, chats, buy solo ads, posting it everywhere…Nobody clicks on it.  You get banned everywhere you go. Nobody buys.Because while you did tell them about it. Are you only doing that because you are greedy and want a commission?  Ah. Yes. that’s exactly what you are doing.It’s all about what you are going to get.There is only one way I’ve found that works when making money selling other peoples products.That is…Leading with VALUE. (<– the #1 secret weapon)Give them more if they buy from your link.More helpful content. More helpful stories. More helpful explanations.Have a good reason why you are telling them about it.  What will it do for them?What did it do for you?

 (Secret weapon #2 is)… Give them a DEMONSTRATION

Do you even own the product? Did you buy it? What happened? Why do you speak highly of it?Answer more questions people have about it.Get deep into why it works. Who created it. The secret behind why it works so well.This is what people want to know before they spend money on it. Heck they want to know that before they click on the link.What can you offer that will make this affiliate product even better, faster or easier to use?Lead with your help. Your bonuses. Really spend more time selling your bonus than the affiliate product.Get them wanting your bonus and then tell them it’s free, just buy this product and they get it for free.That gives them a reason to buy.Do you see how much more compelling that is to someone with the problem who wants a solution?You are giving them something extra. Extra. Extra. That my friend is the definition of Value.Now, that said, everyone isn’t going to buy. Most people will not buy.Because with advertising and free content getting you traffic, it’s impossible to only get the 3% ready to buy today. You get a mix of people. And 90% are not ready to buy. They are curious. Maybe just bored clicking around the internet.And that’s cool.You don’t need everyone to buy to make a lot of commissions.That 3% can be plenty.
